NOCTURNAL DIALOGUE II
Nocturnal Dialogue grew out of a series of studies created around the large-scale painting Catch Me If You Can. Like that work, these three paintings explore the chiaroscuro of the Dutch masters and the northern skies where light emerges from darkness.
Against almost black backgrounds, small clouds float, light and isolated. The contrast between their luminous presence and the depth of the sky creates a distinctive tension. The forms seem to respond to one another, as if engaged in a silent conversation whose signs we can only glimpse.
Presented together, the three works create a shared space and extend this interplay of connections from one painting to another. Each work can nevertheless stand on its own.
The original painting Nocturnal Dialogue II was created in 2023 in acrylic on cotton canvas, measuring 20 × 25 cm (7.87 × 9.84 in). It is part of a series of three works, Nocturnal Dialogue I, II and IIIdesigned to be displayed together as a triptych or individually.
THE FINE ART PRINT
This Fine Art Print is produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® 308 gsm paper. Made from 100% cotton, this museum-quality paper has a delicately textured matte surface. It beautifully captures the depth of colour, richness of tonal variations and finest details of the original painting.
Each print is signed and titled by hand in my Paris studio and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
